What is AIM Group Certified MSDS Testing? We conduct inspections, sampling, analysis testing and certification for verifying a Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) which are scientific and technical documents that provide comprehensive, health, safety and cost information details about products, chemicals or controlled substances identified as hazardous and toxic.

The purpose of a Safety Data Certification (SDC), also known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), is to provide information on the hazards of working with a chemical and procedures that should be used to ensure safety. SDCs of AIM Group are a primary source of information regarding chemical hazards and handling for a lot of purposes as followings:

  • Ore mining

  • Production

  • Use materials

  • Preservation and storage

  • DHL and shipping

  • Prevention of toxicity and fire

What are the MSDS regulations?

MSDSs must be developed for hazardous chemicals used in the workplace, and must list the hazardous chemicals that are found in a product in quantities of 1% or greater, or 0.1% or greater if the chemical is a carcinogen

Why is MSDS important to control accidents?

Employers and employees need the information contained on MSDSs to protect themselves from hazardous chemical exposures and to work safely with chemical products. The result will be a reduction in chemical source illness and injuries in the workplace.

What is the validity of MSDS certificate?

The validity of an MSDS certificate is a maximum of 01 years and is required to be updated every 01 years

But its expire also based on each purpose, example, with DHL, it is at end of receipt.

Is MSDS required?

It should also be noted that MSDSs are only required for hazardous chemicals and only to be sent with their initial shipment and with the first shipment after a MSDS is NOT updated. In practice, MSDSs are prepared and provided for many products but each product is separatedly.

What are the four main purposes of an MSDS?

Identification: for the product and supplier. Hazards: physical (fire and reactivity) and health. Prevention: steps you can take to work safely, reduce or prevent exposure, or in an emergency. Response: appropriate responses in various situations (e.g., first-aid, fire, accidental release) and safety for shipping

What is the purpose of MSDS in shipping?

Ships carrying oil as cargo or bunkers fall under Marpol Annex I. They need to carry a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) - also called The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code - on board. The MSDS provides the crew with information on the health and environmental effects of the harmful substances. (Referring IMDG inspection certification)

There are also many other products

  • Petroleum & chemicals

  • Mines

  • Transport goods listed in The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code list

The IMDG Code was developed as an international code for the transport of dangerous goods in packaged form, in order to enhance and harmonize the safe.

Who is responsible for providing safety data sheets?

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200(g)), revised in 2012, requires that the Owner of products / materials as mine owner, manufacturer owner, distributor owner, or exporter, importer owner provide Safety Data for each hazardous chemical to downstream users to communicate information on these hazards.

Why is it important to monitor controls and hazard specific procedures?

Risk control measures are a crucial tool to aid in the prevention of accidents or injuries in the workplace. They should form part of the company's broader health and safety plan providing a method to identify, control, and reduce the risks present in the workplace, especially prevention to impact on public health.
