IMO survey (class survey)

IMO surveys are carried out to a ship is building in new (or dry-docking) to a marine vessel meet with the standards under each class or many class

  • A new ship building survey.

  • Design of ship survey.

  • Register of ship survey.

  • Approving and certificate for the carrier under ISM regulation and codes.

  • Inspection and testing services for technical and safety machines, materials, devices and equipment of ship

Shipping survey

Shipping surveys are conducted on ship and her cargo carrying which are suitable for operating and voyaging. 

Hull survey is for Structure of ship (pre-purchase condition survey of ship), consisted of dry-dock hull survey and in water diving survey/ underwater hull survey for ship’s class.

  • Machinery survey is for engine of ship (sea trial survey for new ship).

  • The loss prevention survey carried out by marine warranty surveyor to identify the risks on voyage of ship at sea (heavy lift loading survey for project cargo)

  • Seaworthiness survey is for a voyage or new voyage (towing survey for tug and ship, new voyage inspection and approval to certificate)

  • Underwater hull cleaning, propeller polishing services

  • Diving survey for welding and repairing, for purchase

  • Shipping survey is also for all of act of loading / discharging to ship (pre-loading survey, draft survey, loading (unloading) survey, lashing survey, onhire (off-hire) survey, bunker (bunkering) survey, ship condition survey, tally survey, crane survey, cargo holds survey, sealing and unsealing, sampling and testing.

Insurance survey (P&I, Underwriter claim)

A ship owner is always taken part in a Protection and Indemnity (called P&I of a ship-owner club) to protect their rights against liability claims from crew, passengers and third parties as collision, property damage, pollution, environmental damage and removal of wrecks and to recover their loss on main her hull and machineries.

  • Incident and accident surveys are for damage extent and cause of loss (insurance survey on claim for hull and cargo).
