Underwater ship hull cleaning n propeller polishing works

Underwater ship hull cleaning n propeller polishing work are a process that helps ship-owner, manager, shipper, chatterer and responsibility senior superintendent to optimize ship maintaining hull and all underwater parts smooth and free from various forms of marine life (bio-fouling buildup) and residue, saving of fuel.  Email to orders

AIM Control (AIM Group®)  offers the underwater ship hull cleaning n propeller polishing prolongs the life of the anti-fouling coating and helps to sustain the anti-corrosive coating.

Scheduled removal of calcareous buildup also reduces likelihood of corrosion and pitting. Any additional friction between hull and water will require more power to accelerate the ship thus burning more fuel. It also affects the ship’s speed and maneuverability.

One of the biggest expenses operating a motor ship is the cost of fuel and with current gas prices keeping the hull and the propeller surfaces smooth is a money-saving measure via Underwater ship hull cleaning/propeller polishing.

THE COST-EFFECTIVE OWNERSHIP POLICY.

Safety Standards

AIM Control (AIM Group®)  process of underwater vessel hull cleaning and propeller polishing has to be done very carefully to avoid any damage to the hull’s surface and is best done by professional experienced divers. While cleaning the hull it is important to use special tools because underwater hull cleaning removes a minimal amount of antifouling paint and if too much of this layer is removed the toxic bottom paint is released into the water and damages marine environment.

SHIP HULL IS AIM CONTROL’S DIVERS BODY!

AIM Control (AIM Group®) team of divers carry out the underwater ship hull cleaning and propeller polishing under the experienced divers apply gentle pressure to avoid creating a cloud of paint. Not all hull surfaces are the same so it is important to recognize how to deal in each particular case.

AIM Control (AIM Group®) uses tools and materials that provide both safe and professional results such as soft sponges to prevent abrasion when cleaning painted surfaces and soft nylon when cleaning rotary brush machinery and only use harder abrasion cleaning pads when it comes to removal of hard growth. Hard brushes and stainless steel pads are used exclusively on unpainted metal areas.

If ship's hull is not dirty it is recommended only to clean the waterline, propeller and running gear. All old zinc anode replacements are recycled and never left in the ocean.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES

Underwater Ship Hull Cleaning

Most of  AIM Control (AIM Group®) work is carried out using the scamper system and by diver's hands in Vietnam. This system has been specially developed for vessels coated with a SPC or silicone type anti-fouling and we can guarantee that we can remove the marine growth without damaging the all important paint surfaces underneath in Vietnam.

This cleaning system has been approved by all the major paint companies.

Perhaps one of the most important and perhaps overlooked advantages of scheduled underwater hull cleaning of ship is keeping suction grates unclogged improving the flow of water to the machinery while reducing pump wear together with diver’s experience & tools.

Propeller polishing

Underwater propeller polishing and maintaining smooth propeller surfaces are now fully appreciated, but propellers do foul up and for this we use AIM Control's new improved THREE-STAGE reconditioning system to achieve a Rubert finish better than a Rubert 'A' on the Rubert Comparator.

Underwater ship hull inspection diving surveys

Apart from these surveys, we are regularly employed by shipowners and marine paint companies to carry out fouling, and paint inspections and also pre-purchase and sale inspections.

While performing underwater cleaning we fully inspect the entire hull’s surface and propulsion system and if we find any damages or issues that require the attention we will take a snapshot of the problem and email it to you along with recommendations on the best course of action. This helps to prevent further damage and reduce maintenance and repair costs.

Ship Classes

AIM Control (AIM Group®) is formally approved by all the leading classification societies for carrying out in-water surveys. During the course of the surveys, the divers are in constant voice communication with the attending Surveyors/Superintendent.

Underwater Inspections and IW Surveys

AIM Control (AIM Group®) expert divers and technicians perform photographic hull inspections and surveys, backed by full CCTV and DVD footage to technical reports provided a detailed assessment of general hull condition, the state of paint coating, cathodic protection, and any damage to steel surfaces and appendages. inspections are an invaluable aide for classification society in class surveys, sale and purchase, and planning for dry dock work.

Underwater blanking

From time to time, sea valves give trouble and when it does happen, it is not always convenient to wait until the next dry-docking. It is therefore, essential that sea valves can be opened while the vessel remains afloat. For this, we use  AIM Control (AIM Group®) own specially made to measure blanks that fit over the sea chests and overboard discharges. When the blanks are secured in place, this then enables the inboard crew to maintain or replace the sea valves as necessary.

Cofferdam insert repair

We are approved by all the leading Classification Societies for carrying out insert renewal repairs.

Underwater welding / in water repairs

The company frequently undertakes a wide range of other underwater repairs from cutting and welding to drilling, sealing of stern tubes, replacing of sacrificial anodes, propeller trimming and balancing, and ultra-sonic 'NDT' testing of shell plating.

AIM Control (AIM Group®) is the recognized leader in underwater welding of hull cracks, patching or replacing steel plate sections (with cofferdam when required), securing cracks with Cox’s underwater bolts, replacing wasted zinc anodes, sealing stern gland and blanking sea water inlets to allow for internal repairs, and cropping and balancing damaged propellers.

Underwater cutting off fish nets and wires

During underwater operated, bow propeller and stern propeller can be entangled in fishing nets, iron wire.  AIM Control (AIM Group®) diver will cut and remove it all free.

Camera Monitoring and picture Reporting

On completion of any underwater operation, a detailed photographic report is always submitted as well  AIM Control (AIM Group®) divers but also marine surveyors, experts in experience.

Quality Service & Assurance

With a motto of "The Client’s fate is  AIM Control (AIM Group®) fate", and the fact that we are geared up to work seven days a week twenty-four hours a day, we are absolutely positive that we can offer the very best of service, safety and quality and being independent, we can be more competitive when it comes to pricing without sacrificing the all important factor of quality.
